Student Recognition
Sion Hill has a number of Award ceremonies during the year. The awards recognise student achievement in academics, sport and the promotion of the Sion Hill Spirit through participation in extra-curricular activity.
Leadership Award Ceremony (September)
Presentation of badges to Head Girl, Deputy Head Girl, Prefects, Leadership Committees and Student Council.
Academic Award Ceremony (September)
Presentation to student with best results in Junior Certificate and Leaving Certificate exams.
Presentation of medals to students in each year with highest grade in each subject in Summer exams.
First Year Award Ceremony (November)
Presentation of medals to students in first year with highest grade in each subject in the October exams.
Spirit Award Ceremony (April)
Gold, Silver and Bronze Certificates, and Sion Hill Trophy, awarded in recognition of students with high level of involvement in extra curricular activities.
End of Year Award Ceremony (May)
Class Prizes – 100% Attendance, Special Achievement, Academic Progress, Girl of the Class.
