Principal’s Welcome

Welcome to the Dominican College, Sion Hill website. 

The school was founded by the Dominican sisters in 1836, and is now part of The Le Chéile Schools Trust. Today we carry the torch handed onto us by the pioneering Dominican Sisters who championed the provision of a broad and fully rounded education for women from the very outset. Over 180 years later, we endeavour to keep that flame burning brightly.

Our mission statement; ‘Dominican College Sion Hill aims to help each student achieve their full potential academically, spiritually, physically, emotionally and socially in a happy secure environment.’, is firmly grounded in those values handed down to us by the Dominican sisters.
